Kate Lamont has more than two decades of experience in the food and wine industry in
WA. She is CEO and managing partner in the Lamont’s family business, an integrated food
and wine business incorporating grape growing, wine production and sales, which
produces over 8,000 cases per annum. As one of WA’s most successful chefs, Kate was named as an Industry Icon by Vogue Entertaining, has written bestselling cooking books with sales in excess of 35,000 and is an occasional columnist for The West Australian colour magazine. She is a regular guest presenter on ABC radio. Kate was appointed to the board of Tourism Australia in July 2009 and is a Director of the Committee for Perth and CCIWA. A passionate and activist defender of the Perth Swan Valley’s grape and equestrian tourism benefits in the face of encroaching urbanisation, Kate has also chaired the Swan Valley Planning Committee for 7 years.Kate is a past state winner of the Telstra WA Business Woman of the Year, and in 2006, was a Finalist in both the National Veuve Clicquot Woman of the Year and The Perth Citizen of the Year Awards. Her personal motto is “Never, Never, Never, Never Give Up!”

Business Networking – Just Local Midland
Just Local Networking meeting with a difference.
We meet fortnightly on a Thursdays at The Vines Resort to help increase our member numbers and help start referring business to each other.
This will be a chance for you all to be updated on the progress of Just Local Ellenbrook’s website and discuss a few improvements that we will be making.
It’s also an opportunity for you to get out of the office or home, meet some other local businesses owners and discuss some strategies for working together more effectively.
Please bring along your business cards, you will also be given the opportunity to give the group a 1 minute overview about your business if you wish.
We encourage you to invite any business owners to attend our networking meetings as visitors.
